 The weather, the light and the living conditions in the Lemvig area have always left their stamp on the people here. Farmers, fishermen, shopkeepers and artists have lived in the area for a long time, and they have all left their specific fingerprints.

There are 26 churches in the municipality. Besides, there are museums with local history as well as Danish and international art exhibitions. In the area, there are several buildings and places reflecting a life that was historically different from life today. At Lemvig Library you will find the Local History Archive of the Lemvig Area (only for use on the premises).

Five Galleries - DKK 100
Buy a ticket valid for the Five Art Galleries : ET4U, Kunst- og Kulturcenter Tuskær (Arts and Cultural Centre Tuskær), the Museum of Religious Art , Jens Søndergaards Museum and Hygum Kunstmuseum (Art Gallery Hygum). All five exhibit Danish and/or international art. Get a brochure about the co-operation between the five galleries at the tourist office. The ticket valid for all five galleries is sold at Lemvig and Thyborøn Tourist Offices at only DKK 100.
