Within a comfortable distance from Lemvig, you can also visit the limestone quarry of Mønsted at Stoholm with more than 35 miles of underground passages, also the hibernation spot of about 5000 bats. Or how about the limestone quarry of Daugbjerg outside Viborg, where you can hear the stories of Jens Langkniv (“John Longknife”), a famous Danish highwayman from the 17 th century.
In Nørre Vorupør, Nordsø Akvariet (the North Sea Aquarium) is situated, where you can see sharks from a transparent tunnel or admire rare species of fish.
In Salling you will find a medieval castle named Spøttrup featuring a double moat, a museum and activities for children.
If you feel like a sail on the Liim Fiord, the schooner Saga departs from Struer. Every summer there are sails on the Fiord suited to both children and adults.
