Experiences Mostly for Children

- You can never have enough good experiences...


Tante Andante (“Aunt Andante”). In the house of Tante Andante in Lemvig, children can find entertainment. Here you can dress up in funny costumes, paint and make carboard cuttings, stage marionette theatre performances, try the Story Cave, or participate in the singing game workshop. The address is 5 Ågade in Lemvig and the opening hours are mostly 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Kystcentret (The Coastal Centre in Thyborøn). The biggest exploratorium on the West Coast, the centre features a coastal terrarium, an exhibition and many exciting experiments for children of all ages. The centre is equipped with facilities for disabled persons.

Jyllandsakvariet (The Jutland Aquarium in Thyborøn). Dare you pat a shark on its head? Or hold a crab in your hand? There are basins where you can touch the fish, there is an original fishing vessel you can go on board, and you can see Aage, the amber man’s collection of amber. There are facilities for disabled persons.

De Røde Barakker (The Red Huts). Thyborøn. A small candy factory where you can witness how the candy is made, or you can see the glassblower at work. Here you will also find the café/restaurant Mallemukken – in the upside-down fishing vessel. There are facilities for disabled persons.

Mollerupgård Fodboldgolf/Lys (Football golf and candles at Mollerupgård) Vrist, Harboøre. Football golf is a delightful sport for all members of the family if you like ball games. You can also make your own candles at the farm.

Sneglehuset (The Shell House). Thyborøn. This special house is decorated with millions of shells on its outside and contains a large collection of shells and bottle ships inside.

Fly a kite: On the coast there is often a lovely, strong wind offering good opportunities to fly a kite.

Bjergbanen (The Mountain Line). Lemvig. Take a trip with the small local train going back and forth between the harbour and the railway station in Lemvig in July.
