Cycle Routes in the Area

The Lemvig area is ideal for nature lovers and cycling enthusiasts. The varied nature and the hilly landscape is perfect for every taste, whether you prefer hills or a flat landscape, or prefer driving around in the town or rather along the North Sea coast.

There are numerous marked routes in the area of differing lengths. Some are suitable for families with young children, whereas others present challenges for experienced cyclists.

In Klosterheden, the large plantation to the south-east of Lemvig, there is a 31-mile mountain bike route for cyclists who prefer speed and excitement.

At Lemvig Tourist Office you can buy a cycle route map of the Lemvig area at DKK 25. This map gives you all the information you need for a cycling experience in the hilly landscape. On the front there is a detailed map with all the cycle routes marked in the same colours as the signs along the routes. On the back you will find a list of the sights on the various routes as well as other useful information. The map contains six routes.

Bicycle rental:
At Lemvig Tourist Office you can rent bikes at DKK 75 per day, DKK 450 per week. A DKK 300 deposit per bike is payable.

Other cycle routes:
Cycling along the West Coast of Jutland – A detailed map of the cycle route along the West Coast, the National Route no. 1, divided into separate maps from each area. The map contains an overview of sights and attractions along the route, including information about accommodation as well as other kinds of useful information.

Cycling along the Liim Fiord – the National Route no. 12, the Liim Fiord Route , covers a 380-mile stretch from Hals in the east to Thyborøn in the west.
