Angling
- By the sea, the Fiord, rivers or put-and-take…
From the breakwaters between Thyborøn and Vejlby Klit and at Bovbjerg there are good fishing possibilities. Flatfish, garfish, mackerel and cod are the types of fish usually caught in those places.
In the Liim Fiord from Remmerstrand in the east to Gjellerodde in the west there are numerous good fishing grounds where you will typically catch sea trout, herring, garfish and eels. Angling in Lemvig Lake is also permitted.
The creek called Flynder Å is to the south/south-east of Lemvig in Klosterheden, the large plantation. Here there is a good population of trout, eels, pike and roach. A fishing licence is required for this fishing stream. You can buy the licence at the tourist office.
If you feel like going fishing at sea, you should take a trip on Emma-Line, which organizes trips especially targeted at porbeagle, cod, jig etc.
There are also five put-and-take lakes in the area – a complete list is available at the tourist office.
