Exploratoriums
- Lots of experiences for children and adults…
Kystcentret (the Coastal Centre) – The biggest exploratorium on the West Coast. Here you can do things like building dams, producing waves using your hands and feet, letling your hands disappear in quicksand or navigating a remote-controlled trawler. It is not as easy as you would think!
The Centre also includes a coastal terrarium with adders, lizards, frogs and toads.
Jyllandsakvariet (the Jutland Aquarium) – Dare you pat a shark on its head, hold a crab in your hand or stroke a ray on its back? All year at the Jutland Aquarium, you can see, feel and experience a large and broad selection of fish and crabs living in the North Sea and the Liim Fiord. The “touch basins” bring you into close contact with many different kinds of fish, crabs and shellfish.
De Røde Barakker (the Red Huts) – An attraction for the whole family. Here you will find a pleasant atmosphere and something to suit every taste. The place houses a glassblower’s workshop, a small candy factory and a café in naval surroundings. Previously used for coast protection work, the restored buildings date over a hundred years back.
